Liverpool ace Dirk Kuyt admits he reads the newspapers with a pinch of salt.
He told Sky News: "I don't know if I have to believe the papers because this morning we wake up in this hotel as well and they also said something about Ryan Babel, that Rafa (Benitez) was a liar.
"I'm a 100 per cent sure that Ryan wouldn't have said these kinds of things and I think it was a bad translation because Ryan only gave an interview for the Dutch press and the only thing he said was that it is important for him to play games and that he would love to play these kind of games for Liverpool and he would do everything in his power to come back.
"He is happy at Liverpool but every player wants to play so that's his only concern one year before the World Championship start. He knows that he has to play games and I'm sure that he wants to play at Liverpool and he wants to play these games as soon as possible but we have a big squad. Many, many more players can play in his position so he has to work hard and I believe he is doing that at Liverpool as in the Dutch team."
