Robbie Keane is confident he can form a lethal partnership with Fernando Torres at Liverpool.
At Sunderland, Keane had left the pitch by the time Torres scored his wonder goal, having inadvertently blocked a scrambled effort from the Spain star as he too tried to score.
He said: "I have settled in really well and I'm getting on fine and I am used to coming to internationals at this time of year so that will have no affect.
"It is important that you get a good result early on and it was not the best game against Sunderland but the most important thing was getting three points and the football will come after.
"Of course it is going to take time and it may take a few games to really understand each other's game but that will only come with time and games
"I don't see why we can't be in with a shout of the title. Why not? If you look at the squad we have, and there are a few more additions to come, there is no question everything is there for us to achieve but it is up to us as players to do that."
