Liverpool's Guthrie keen on Bolton stay

Liverpool midfielder Danny Guthrie admits he fancies staying with Bolton Wanderers beyond the end of this season.

"I'm enjoying myself and long may that continue," Guthrie said. "In the summer we'll sit down and see where we are.

"If Liverpool said they wanted me to go back and play then obviously I would do it.

"If that can't happen, then the first place I'd want to come to is Bolton."

Guthrie expects a hot reception from Everton fans today.

He also told the Bolton Evening News: "Coming from Liverpool it is a massive derby, so it would be a bit more special for me to beat them on their own turf.

"I haven't always lived there - but I have been with the club since I was 12 so it is a special place.

"I think I'll need that extra spring in my step when I get there because a few of their lads will know where I'm from. I think the fans will as well."
