Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard believes he's rediscovering his best form after a couple of flat performances.

After victory over Reading in the Carling Cup, Gerrard said: "I'm feeling a lot better now. The last three or four days, I've been totally pain-free in my toe.

"I have been struggling during the last two or three games and have been getting a lot of pain from it.

"But I've been training in every session and can feel my sharpness coming back, so I think my top form is only around the corner."
