Liverpool ace Steven Gerrard says he's comfortable in England's midfield alongside Chelsea's Frank Lampard.

Their performance against Moldova raised hopes it is still a partnership worth persevering with.

"I enjoy playing with Frank," said Gerrard. "He's a good player. We've got the understanding there.

"I know a lot of people talk about it but, me and him, all we're interested in is winning matches and we both did well against Moldova."
