Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard is confident he won't suffer from any England hangover as he prepares to resume Premiership duty.
"But I'm experienced enough to know I have to get it out of my system as soon as possible, I have massive games to play for Liverpool between now and the end of the season.
"That's down to me. If I were to feel sorry for myself and it affects my performances for Liverpool, then it wouldn't be fair on Liverpool.
"But going back to Liverpool I have the right people around me there who can help me get it out of my system.
"From the players' point of view, we've got to take the criticism, get on with it and try to bounce back but it's going to hurt for a long time.
"It will take a long time to recover. There's a lot more football to play in the future and we've got to try and bounce back."
