Liverpool's Fabio Aurelio frustrated by injury

Fabio Aurelio has spoken of his frustration at his persistent injury troubles at Liverpool, but has his sights set on Sunday's clash against Chelsea.

The Brazilian has started just 18 games since his move from Valencia in July 2006 after suffering a number of serious injuries.

He appeared to be over his troubles after recently managing three consecutive league starts, but he was forced off at half-time against Sunderland with a thigh problem.

"I had a small problem in my quads during the first half. I told the bench I couldn't sprint properly so I had to come off at half-time," he told the club's official website.

"The physio said I will be out for seven to 10 days but I am working hard to be fit again as soon as possible.

"It has been hard at times especially when you are out for a long time, but I just have to get on with it and try and stay fit."

On the importance of securing Liverpool's second league win of 2008 at Stamford Bridge, Aurelio added: "Chelsea will be a tough game and getting a good result at Stamford Bridge is very important for us.

"Going to Chelsea in the past hasn't been very good for us but we have an opportunity to change that on Sunday.

"We have our confidence back and we want to start playing better. To keep winning is the most important thing."
