Liverpool winger Stewart Downing says sharper finishing is what is holding them back from nailing a top four place.

Downing was on the mark in Liverpool's FA Cup win over Stoke City.

"We have played good football and created a lot of chances. We just haven't had the clinical finishing.

"Hopefully it will come together in the next couple of weeks and we can finish as high as we can and push for fourth place.

"It is a tough ask but we have still got to keep going. You just never know what might happen."
