Salif Diao's agent Charles Collymore has confirmed talks are ongoing with Stoke City over the midfielder's move back to the Britannia Stadium.

He told The Sentinel: "Talks are ongoing and I can't put a timescale on when something might happen. As far as Salif is concerned, the sooner it is dealt with the better, so he can return to playing.

"What I can say is that he still has a great passion for Stoke - he loves the fans and the club. If it is possible, we will try to strike a deal."

Diao is available from Liverpool.
