Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez sees Peter Crouch as part of his long-term plans.

The England striker attracted enquiries from Newcastle in January and has also been linked with Juventus.

But it's emerged Benitez has refused a demand from Atletico Madrid for Crouch to be included in Liverpool's offer for Fernando Torres. The Daily Star says Benitez wants Torres, Dirk Kuyt and Crouch in his strikers pool next term.
