Liverpool's Carragher: No-one blames Riise

Jamie Carragher insists no-one was blaming Liverpool teammate John Arne Riise after his own goal in Tuesday's 1-1 draw with Chelsea.

The vice-captain told Liverpoolfc.tv: "It was just bad luck. We've all been there, all done something like that. There's no blame attached to John.

"I think a couple of things happened before that and there were a couple of things we could have done to stop the cross even coming in. It's a team game, we are all in it together."

The Reds have yet to score at Stamford Bridge under Rafa Benitez but that must change if the squad is to board a plane to Moscow in May.

Carragher added: "Obviously when you concede as late as we did you're going to be disappointed but we've got a massive game now and it's only like it being 1-1 at half-time. We've just got to get on with it.

"We've got to regroup but it's only half-time. They're obviously delighted, you could see that at the end, but there is another game to go yet.

"It'll be tough to score there, we have struggled to do that recently because they are good defensively. But if we get a goal there it's advantage Liverpool again. We've got to go there looking for a goal, then we'll have time to get a second and make it very tough for them.

"It's a different scenario now than previous occasions we've gone there. If you go there in the league, 0-0 is not a bad result, but now we have to score. It's a different mentality."
