Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher admits he's refused an approach from England boss Steve McClaren to end his international retirement.

"I mean I had a good couple of chats with (England manager) Steve McClaren and got on great with him. I just thought at my age and, with players younger than me in front of me, I should concentrate fully on Liverpool," Carragher told Setanta.

"I wish England and Steve all the best. He took the time to come and see me which I really appreciated."
