Liverpool's Carragher demands better in Premiership

Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has urged the club not to take their eyes of the Premier League following their impressive midweek win over Inter Milan in the Champions League.

The Reds produced a fine performance to beat Inter 2-0 at Anfield on Tuesday, but Carragher insists the team cannot afford to bask in the glory for too long as they have to focus of the league.

Rafa Benitez' side are currently involved in a fierce battle for fourth place and the last automatic Champions League qualification spot with Everton, Aston Villa and Manchester City.

"We realise that we've now got three or four league games before the second leg in Milan and we're going to have to make sure that we are in this competition next season" Carragher told the club's website.

"There's something about us when we play in Europe but we've got a job to do in the Premiership and we have to make sure we don't lose sight of that.
