Liverpool fullback Alvaro Arbeloa has revealed how Rafa Benitez has refused to consider any defeatist attitude at Anfield ahead of the second-leg of their Champions League semi at Chelsea.

Arbeloa said: "The own goal from Riise has left us a little shaky but that is in the past now and we are prepared for the battle in London.

"Boss Rafa Benitez has been clear in telling us it is possible to reverse the 1-1 scoreline and reach the final.

"We will battle from the very first minute to get the result we need."
