After failing to come to terms on a contract extension, Liverpool left-back Brad Smith found himself without a club.
Following trials at Barnsley and in Norway with Rosenborg, Smith considered offers, however his registration with the Anfield club remained throughout due to the Reds' right to compensation for their youth product.
When Jurgen Klopp replaced Brendan Rodgers in November, Australia U23 international Smith's contract dispute found itself resolved.
After making four appearances since Klopp's appointment, including scoring the equalising goal in the Reds 2-2 draw with Exeter City in the third round of the FA Cup, Smith is now relishing his involvement at Liverpool.
"It is going really well. I am enjoying it," said Smith in an interview with the Liverpool Echo.
"The manager has been really good. Obviously there are a few youngsters up at Melwood that he has been looking at. He is really hands on with the young players and he tells you want he wants.
"He has been telling me what he wants from me in terms of my crossing and when he wants me to put my crosses in which is helping a lot to be honest. Everyone is benefiting."
