Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is set to hand 20-year-old defender Jon Flanagan his Merseyside derby debut against Everton at Goodison Park, the Liverpool Echo reports. Flanagan has made just one league appearance this season but is set to start after Jose Enrique was ruled out with a knee injury that will require surgery.
Rodgers said: "Jon is a young player who will never let you down. Of course it's disappointing if you lose your number one left-back for a few months but it's an opportunity for someone else to come in and do well."
