John Flanagan admits his Liverpool debut was made easier by teammate Jamie Carragher.

The teenage left-back was impressive in the 3-0 win over Manchester City.

Local lad Flanagan was grateful for Carra's support and told liverpoolfc.tv: "He is a great help, always talking and down your ear, telling you what to do.

"It's great."
