Liverpool defender Tom Brewitt has decided to leave Anfield in the search for first team football.

In an announcement made on Brewitt's Instagram page, he said: "Time to announce that I'll be leaving LFC after 10 years.

"From joining as a 10 year old I have had countless unforgettable experiences making lot of special memories and some real friends in both players and coaches along the way.

"My goal when I joined was and always will be to play at the highest level whatever path that takes me down.

The local lad was previously the captain of Liverpool's Under 18 side. He made three appearances for the Reds' Premier League 2 team this season.
