Liverpool's Taiwo Awoniyi could spend next season on loan with Dutch club NEC Nijmegen.

Reports suggest the 18-year-old Nigerian whizkid is in talks with the Eredivisie outfit regarding a season-long loan agreement.

Awoniyi, who joined Liverpool from the Imperial Soccer Academy last summer, spent time on loan with German side FSV Frankfurt last term and is now set for more experience in a senior environment by heading to Nijmegen.

The talented teenager arrived at Anfield for £400,000 around a year ago and impressed in 14 appearances for Frankfurt in 2015/16.
