Liverpool midfielder Raheem Sterling faces missing the U21 Euros for England.

The Sun says the Liverpool winger is expected to be rested for the remainder of the Premier League season to nurse a long-term thigh problem.

Sources close to the 18-year-old believe he will also miss the Euros despite playing a role in qualification and preparations.

Sterling's injury is a massive blow to England coach Stuart Pearce.
