Liverpool winger Stewart Downing admits he could be running around for Tottenham today.
The ex-Middlesbrough winger joined Liverpool from Aston Villa this summer - and will line up against Spurs today.
He said: "Tottenham made a couple of moves for me when I was at Boro. There were offers in the summer of 2008. Spurs came in again that following January. Then I got injured.
"Because I was injured I think Spurs were reluctant to come back in.
"The big thing for me was that Martin O'Neill was pushing hard for me to join Villa. If a player is injured then it takes a lot of trust to sign him."
