Liverpool winger Ryan Babel refused two Premiership offers on transfer deadline day.

The People says Liverpool almost nabbed West Ham United striker Carlton Cole in a swap deal with Babel, but the Dutchman insisted he would only go to Upton Park on loan.

Babel also turned down a loan move to Tottenham.
