Liverpool wing-back Adam Lewis draws inspiration from Trent Alexander-Arnold

Liverpool wing-back Adam Lewis admits he draws inspiration from Trent Alexander-Arnold.

The teenage left-back from Walton is one of the most exciting talents on the books at the club's Kirkby Academy and his rapid progress this season has caught Jurgen Klopp's eye.

“I grew up with Trent and it's great to see him doing so well," Lewis told the Liverpool Echo.

“I played in the same local team as him from when I was six. Trent's a year older than me but I played a year up and I'm dead close with his family.

“I speak to him a lot. I look at what he's done and I think to myself: 'I could do that.' He inspires me, not as a friend, but as a player.

“This club has got a manager who doesn't care who you are or how old you are, it's about giving everything for the club and the fans. I'm trying to give that 100% effort.

Liverpool Football Club means everything to me and I want to make it here."
