Despite reports suggesting otherwise, Liverpool will not make a move for Palermo youngster Simon Kjaer.

Reports have indicated that Reds boss Rafael Benitez is looking for a replacement for Daniel Agger who is yet to sign a new contract at Anfield.

But Benitez has cooled speculation over a move for the 20-year old centre-back.

"I can only say that Simon Kjaer is not on our agenda at the moment," Benitez boss told Stadionews24.

"I can say that if Daniel Agger were to leave, we are not planning to bring him as a replacement."
