Liverpool will forego permanent purchase of Valencia's Cissokho

Liverpool will opt against buying Aly Cissokho permanently from Valencia in the summer according to reports from Spain.

The 26-year old French left-back joined the Reds on loan from Los Che in the summer with the view to a less temporary contract at the end of the season.

Cissokho has been used 13 times in the Premier League this season in the absence of injured Spaniard Jose Enrique but it has been suggested that Brendan Rodgers will not pay the £3.3million transfer fee for his services.

Rodgers has often used Glen Johnson on the left with youngster Jon Flanagan on the right and will reportedly look for cover from elsewhere in the next transfer window rather than sign Cissokho permanently.
