Liverpool have accepted the three-match ban imposed on goalkeeper Pepe Reina.
The Spaniard was sent off in the 82nd minute of yesterday's 2-0 loss at Newcastle United for pushing his head towards James Perch during an angry confrontation and making contact with the Magpies defender.
Referee Martin Atkinson brandished a red for Reina, with Perch receiving a yellow for his role in the fracas, and the Reds will not contest the decision which will see the club's number one gloveman miss Premier League clashes with Aston Villa and Blackburn Rovers along with the FA Cup semi-final against Everton on April 14.
