Liverpool are chasing Sporting Lisbon fullback Marco Rojo.
Reds boss Brendan Rodgers sees Rojo as a solution to his left-back problem.
The Daily Express says Liverpool are expected to hand Rodgers a £50m transfer kitty at the end of the season with a view to strengthening the squad for a Champions League campaign.
Rojo has broken into Argentina's national side at left-back this season but has impressed for Sporting in a central role.
