Liverpool warn Rangers, Leeds of Ryan Kent cash penalties

Liverpool will insist on financial penalty clauses in any loan deal for Ryan Kent.

The Bristol Post says the Reds are keen to financially punish clubs if a loan player does not start a certain amount of games.

Bristol City, Leeds United and Rangers are all keen on the winger.

This proved problematic for the Robins last season when Kent struggled to fit into Lee Johnson's system, despite a decent start to life at Ashton Gate, providing two assists in his first four games.

He was left out of the squad entirely for the Robins ' final six league games of the season and the club were subsequently fined £500,000 by Liverpool after he failed to make a sufficient amount of appearances.
