Liverpool are eyeing Palermo striker Abel Hernandez. The Daily Express says while a summer move to Arsenal failed to materialise it seems that Liverpool have now entered the race for Hernandez, who would team up with compatriot Luis Suarez at Anfield.
Just before the close of the transfer window Hernandez said: "The club and the coach told me that I could leave if the right offer was made and I think that has now arrived.
"They know what I want and they know what they promised me. I don't want to lose the chance of playing at the World Cup next summer.
"I think playing in Serie A is beautiful, but the desire to be at World Cup 2014 is what has pushed me to ask for a transfer."
