Liverpool want to take Maxi Rodriguez on loan from Atletico Madrid as manager Rafa Benitez looks to reinforce his squad, reports the Daily Mail. But Benitez will have to move quickly to capture the 28-year-old Argentine who plays wide on the left of midfield as he has already had talks with Boca Juniors over a return to his home country.
Rodriguez is believed to have been encouraged to make the move to England by friend Javier Mascherano, and with money tight at Liverpool the Argentine fits manager Benitez's bill perfectly.
