Liverpool veteran James Milner has welcomed the return of Adam Lallana.

Lallana hasn't played for the Reds all season after injuring his thigh in August, but after working extensively on his rehabilitation, the England midfielder is close to a return to Jurgen Klopp's squad.

He told the BBC: "We've had an up and down start to the season and we've had injuries.

"Adam Lallana is coming back for us now and that's fantastic for us.

"He's a massive player for us, he makes us tick with and without the ball.

"If we can keep everyone fit, now it is the business part of the season for us and we will have a better idea after Christmas [about our targets] but obviously Liverpool Football Club wants to win trophies."
