Liverpool veteran James Milner has no doubts about the quality of new signing Mohamed Salah.

Salah scored on his first appearance for the club in Friday's 1-1 friendly draw at Wigan.

Milner told the club's official website: "He's a top player, he's shown that in the little time that he's been here and I've seen it playing up close also.

"He's a great addition to the squad and it was nice for him to get off the mark as well."

Jurgen Klopp's men fly out to Hong Kong on Sunday and play Crystal Palace on Wednesday evening in the Asia Trophy, before a meeting with either West Brom or Leicester on Saturday.
