Former Liverpool chairman Martin Broughton could remain in football.

Broughton has left the post after securing NESV as the club's new owners.

And the Daily Mail says Broughton is being seen as the one candidate from outside the football family who could mount a genuine challenge to insider David Dein for the chairmanship of the FA.
