Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez intends to bid for Wigan Athletic fullback Maynor Figueroa.
The Mirror says Hodgson will move for Wigan's Maynor Figueroa - if he can sell Emiliano Insua for £5million.
Fiorentina are ready to meet Hodgson's asking price for the left back and that will be spent on direct replacement Figueroa.
That should be enough to tempt Wigan to part with Honduras international Figueroa, who found fame last season with his 60-yard goal against Stoke.
