Liverpool Uni boost Thailand football

In partnership with Liverpool University, Chang will fund a scholarship for a young Thai professional to undertake the world renowned Football Industries MBA qualification.

Everton deputy CEO Robert Elstone told the club's website: "This deal underlines Chang's commitment to the development of football in Thailand. Here at Everton we are delighted to be able to aid our partner as continue to focus on a core objective.

"Football in Thailand is growing in popularity and it is important to recognise off the field activities that go on in football in order for the game to achieve its longevity in the region. I am sure the knowledge and expertise gained from the renowned MBA course at Liverpool University will go a long way in helping develop Thai football.

"It is fantastic to see Liverpool University expanding their international links and the city of Liverpool is sure to benefit from this partnership."

Chang, who extended their shirt sponsorship deal with the Blues in January, will fund all costs of the course including travel and accommodation.

Meanwhile on the field of play, the Chang-Everton Football Academy in Thailand is excelling with over 500 youngsters involved in the training programme.
