Liverpool have defeated Manchester United 3-1 in their Premier League 2 clash on Monday night.

Ovie Ejaria's opener was cancelled out by United's James Wilson second half goal. But a strong response from Liverpool saw Marko Grujic and Harry Wilson help the Reds claim their seventh win of the season.

Liverpool were benefited by a surprisingly strong starting lineup as Trent Alexander-Arnold, Jon Flanagan, Grujic, Danny Ings and Ben Woodburn were all named by Neil Critchley.

The Reds remain top of the Premier League 2 Division One table, while United are cemented at the bottom.
