Liverpool U18 coach Gerrard: Klopp always beats Chelsea due to...

Liverpool U18 coach Steven Gerrard says key to Jurgen Klopp's success against Chelsea is he attacks them.

Liverpool host Chelsea in fifth place and have the chance of moving level on points with the Premier League champions with a win at Anfield.

When asked about Klopp's impressive record against the big teams, Gerrard added: “Well he goes toe-to-to with them.

“And I think that's the reason why Liverpool are so exciting going forward. They go and press teams.

“They have a confidence and belief, they don't stay in the shell and wait for it to happen, they take it to the opposition and I'm sure they'll do it to Chelsea at the weekend."

Gerrard is confident Klopp's side have what it takes to earn a narrow 2-1 victory.

“Tough one to call, I think it's definitely a 50/50 game," Gerrard told BT Sport.

“But I'm always going to be biased and back my team. And I think Liverpool at home are capable.

"So I'll go for a tight 2-1 win for Liverpool."
