Liverpool U18 captain Joe Kennedy was delighted with his chance to train with the senior squad during the last international week.
He told liverpoolfc.tv: "I was nervous! I know people look at them like role models but we can't do that, we have to see them as potential teammates. Training with them is obviously going to help our game. Playing with Jamie Carragher was a great experience and I'd love to do that more often.
"I used to look up to Everton's Dave Watson when I was younger. As I've got older I've looked up to Jamie Carragher and John Terry too. Looking back over time, the one who really stands out is Franz Beckenbauer. The way he used to bring the ball out and spread it was brilliant."
