Liverpool U18 and U23's record cap off big weekend with wins

Liverpool's U18 and U23 side's managed to also impress along with the clubs first team on Saturday by recording wins.

The U18 side, which is led by club legend Steven Gerrard, secured a 5-1 away win over Middlesbrough.

Curtis Jones bagged a brace, while Rafael Camacho, Liam Millar and Paul Glatzel were also on target to help the Reds maintain their unbeaten run in the U18 League.

The U23's defeated Merseyside rivals Everton 4-0 meanwhile through goals from the likes of Herbie Kane, Corey Whelan, Rhian Brewster and Yan Dhanda.

The clubs senior side meanwhile defeated Southampton 3-0 through a brace from in—form Egyptian Mohamed Salah and a strike from Philippe Coutinho.

After starting the season in rather erratic form, with their defence in particular looking suspect, Jurgen Klopp's team seem to be playing with a high level of confidence which is showing in terms of their performances.
