Liverpool's 45 Premier League goals this season pales in comparison to the 101 they scored last term.
The Reds finished second in 2013/14 thanks to Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge's 52 goals but the summer exit of the former to Barcelona and the injury problems experienced by the latter have cut that total by more than 50%.
This term, Brendan Rodgers' have struggled in the final third with Raheem Sterling, Steven Gerrard and Jordan Henderson leading the way on six goals each while Sturridge (four), Mario Balotelli, Fabio Borini and Rickie Lambert have scored just eight in total which prompted the following comments from the Anfield boss.
"We are still trying to find solutions at the top end of the field," Rodgers said.
"When everyone is fit and available we are able to compete with this squad, but our top goalscorer is on six goals. Three players on six goals. That's the reality of where we are at, and we have to find solutions for that.
"It's about finding what suits the players. We have obviously got a number of players out now and when we changed the system it suited them. We are always looking to find a way."
