Liverpool are keeping tabs on Werder Bremen starlet Marko Marin.
Reds boss Roy Hodgson has been active in the German transfer in recent months, having attempted to lure Bayern Munich striker Mario Gomez to Anfield.
Liverpool and Arsenal are reportedly leading the chase for the 21-year-old, who scored in Werder's 2-2 draw with Tottenham in their Champions League encounter on Tuesday.
According to the Daily Mail, Spurs are also monitoring the winger along with Manchester United and Chelsea.
Marin has been dubbed the 'German Messi' and has already been capped 11 times by his country as he continues to set the Bundesliga alight.
Should Liverpool or Arsenal step-up their interest in the mercurial talent then it is reported that they would have to part with close to £15 million as Marin moved to Werder for 8.5 million euros just last summer.
