West Bromwich Albion face a battle not only with the FA to keep hold of technical chief Dan Ashworth.

Ashworth is wanted by the FA to fill the role they've just created.

But the Sunday Mirror says there is a feeling within the game that it is only a matter of time before he is head-hunted by a bigger club.

Liverpool and Tottenham are interested and most Premier League clubs would offer more than the FA. A technical director at a top club would earn around £1million a year.
