The Liverpool Echo says the 20-year-old has impressed Jurgen Klopp and will be rewarded following his breakthrough season at the club.
Brannagan made his senior debut for the Reds in their Europa League tie against Bordeaux last September and played eight more times during the campaign.
He will be offered improved terms as a show of recognition for his outstanding development at Anfield.
