Liverpool to leave Man City, Man Utd, Everton to van Dijk

Liverpool will not be pursuing the services of defender Virgil van Dijk during the January transfer window, according to reports from the Daily Mail.

While Liverpool have enjoyed a wonderful start to the season, their backline does look suspect at times and it was widely reported that manager Jurgen Klopp would be looking to strengthen his leaky defence by signing Southampton star van Dijk this winter.

However, recent reports have gone on to claim that Klopp is happy with the set of defenders currently available at his disposal and will not be pursuing the services of van Dijk as a result.

The Dutchman remains on the transfer wish-list of Liverpool's Premier League rivals, Manchester City, Manchester United and Everton.
