Liverpool are to discuss terms with Udinese for midfielder Piotr Zielinski.

The Mail on Sunday says the 21-year-old has impressed during a two-season loan at Empoli and Liverpool confirmed their interest in the Poland international earlier this year.

Scouts have continued to monitor his progress and watched him in action against Genoa last week.

Zielinski is quick and skilful. He can play on the wing or as a central midfielder, has 11 caps for Poland with three goals and is expected to be part of their Euro 2016 squad.
