Liverpool will close the signing of Ajax prospect Ki-Jana Hoever today.
The Liverpool Echo says Hoever, 16, decided to move to Liverpool after seeing the opportunities which youngsters have been given at Anfield.
As the Netherlands youth international had yet to sign a professional contract in his homeland, Liverpool only have to pay Ajax a nominal compensation fee.
He has been training with Barry Lewtas' under-18s squad at the Kirkby Academy but won't be able to make his competitive debut for the Reds until he's granted international clearance. The paperwork was expected to be done by the end of this month.
