Liverpool - The January Transfers

Currently ranked 8th in the Premier League 2016-17, Liverpool completed their 125th season this year. It can be said that the Reds ended 2016 majestically after winning 3-0 against Middlesbrough in December. Hopefully, 2017 will be a successful one for the Red Devils.

And for this month, rumours have it that some new faces might be seen on the field, while some may disappear. Jurgen Klopp did not give any give any names but he has confirmed that there will not be any quick fixes. Maybe he is looking for the best. Well let's hope he finds it! Despite being the most difficult month to do business, Liverpool F.C is known to make transfers during this month.

For instance, some of Liverpool's best signing such as Luis Suarez and Phillipe Coutinho were made in January itself, but they surely costed a lot! But that's a good job done! More soccer players which were signed during the same time period are Javier Mascherano, Alvaro Arbeloa, Daniel Agger and Maxi Rodriguez, during different years.

The 19-year-old Pedro Chirivella has had his time at Liverpool, and is scheduled to join the Eredivise strugglers on loan for the rest of the season. Four years back, the Reds took over Chirivella, and now it's time for him to move to benefit from a regular first-team football. As for Emil Forsberg, there are rumours stating that he will not be staying long with RB Leipzing team. Indeed, the Red Devils has eyes on this Winger since 2016, but there has been any confirmation of a transfer yet. Their interest in this player is mainly due to the 5 goals he bagged and the other nine he created, during his 15 appearances on the field so far.

Liverpool is also eyeing on Cian Harries, who has been compared to Alan Hansen who played with the Red Devils previously. Coventry is reluctant to let go of one of their best defender, however a deal that cannot be refused has been proposed. The young footballer has been requested to give a trial, before being signed by the Red Devils.

But there's one player will be staying at Liverpool and this is Kevin Stewart. Despite having received offers from Swansea, West Brom, Aston Villa, Brighton and New Castle, Jurgen Klopp is keeping his midfielder. A transfer offer of £6 million for this player has been turned down last summer.
