Liverpool youngster Trent Alexander-Arnold has commented on his sides win over Southampton in the Premier League this weekend.

Alexander-Arnold was handed a start during the game and despite Mohamed Salah and Philippe Coutinho dominating the headlines for their goals, he delivered a solid performance.

"I don't think we could have asked for anything more today," he told the club's website. "Three goals, a clean sheet and three points.

"It's been hard for us every time we have come back from internationals and twice the results haven't gone our way but this time we hit the ground running.

"We said before the game we have a good two months together now with no breaks and we've started well and are looking to push on this Christmas period.

"The whole week before the West Ham game we got three really good results and we thought the international break might disrupt it but we came back and got three goals and a clean sheet and you can't really ask for more."
