Liverpool targeting maximum points in next three games says Johnson

Liverpool defender Glen Johnson is confident that the team can take maximum points in their next three Premier League outings.

The Reds face Norwich City, West Bromwich Albion and Swansea City in the next few weeks and Johnson is targeting a clean sweep to really put the sword to those clubs above them on the table.

“We'd like to think we can pick up points in those matches and that some of the other teams around us would drop points during that period," said Johnson.

"Then we will be there or thereabouts.

"The run of games definitely gives us the chance to make progress and push up the league table.

"When any team comes to Anfield, we are looking to win and get the three points or go through to the next round, whatever the scenario.

"If we can do that, then we'll be right amongst it again."
