Liverpool are moving closer towards the signing of Leeds United's Sam Byram according to reports.

The Daily Star suggests that the Reds are lining up an £8million summer move for the 21-year old wingback who has emerged as one of the brightest young English players outside the Premier League.

It is believed that Anfield boss Brendan Rodgers has had Byram watched at least half a dozen times this season and is expected to make a move for the talented Whites youngster's services when the next transfer window opens.
